Tri Ton – Founder | CEO
Tri believes business is a medium to express thinking and to push humanity forward. Tri is the founder and CEO of Altair Alpha, an angels-backed holding company active in both commercial in consumer market (Atair Alpha) and industrial market (Altair Industries). He started his career at Vietnam Investments Group (“VI Group”), a private equity firm on growth capital with USD 500M asset under management. His private equity experience includes strategy, valuation, and operation for prospects and portfolio investees as well as served as Deputy CEO and Board Member of the largest VI Group’s pharmaceutical / agricultural deal with 9 M&As. After VI Group, Tri joined Cloudjet Solutions (“CJS”), a venture-backed SaaS firm that provides Human Resources Management application, as a Board Member. Simultaneously, he also served as Director of Strategy and Investment at Mekong Communications, working on Mekong's capital structure and investment/divestment matters of its 9 subsidiaries. Tri is an AmCham Vietnam’s Scholar and was an Executive Board Member of AIESEC Ho Chi Minh Local Committee. Thai Hoang – Head Representative of Vietnam Business
Thai is a businessperson with a keen interest in strategy and finance. Thai is active as Altair Alpha’s Head of Vietnam Business and is a Senior Associate in Altair Ventures where he is in charge of various strategy and management works in both Altair Industries and Altair Cliff Associates. Concurrently, Thai is also a sole Business Analyst at Mekong Communications – one of the largest local digital media agencies in Vietnam, where he serves as a bridge to make sense of all accounting records and financial modeling to Board Members and top management. Before Altair Ventures and Mekong Communications, Thai played a key operational role in NTS Partners on an effort to use a line of organically modified sorghum to increase biomass, sugar content, and ethanol content, which in turn, can replace elephant grass in making feeds for cow, sugar cane in producing sugar, and cassava in producing bioethanol. Thai started his career in Private Equity environment with Vietnam Investments Group, where Tri was his mentor, and later on moved to listed market environment in brokerage and trading business. Thai has a Bachelor of Art in Corporate Finance from University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and passed CFA Level 2 Examination.
